Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

Glasgow

Lovers of traditional Scottish dance music and airs will enjoy the 130th annual concert of the Caledonian Fiddle Orchestra.  The fiddles, accordions, bass, keyboard and drums of the orchestra will be joined by players from other orchestras around Scotland.

This year we are in the exciting new venue in the Royal Concert Hall, the New Auditorium.  The hall has already gained a reputation for excellent acoustics and comfortable seating.

Our soloist, Hannah Rarity, already well known in the Scottish music scene, has been named BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician 2018.

Tickets, at 14.00 are on sale at the Concert Hall box office.

The orchestra, with players from the Glasgow area, rehearses every Tuesday from October to April in the Glasgow Gaelic School, Berkeley Street and welcomes new players.
