TMSA Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland

101 Scottish Songs (The Wee Red Book Concert) at Celtic Connections

02 February 2018

19:30 pm

St. Andrews in the Square

Another opportunity to delve into Norman Buchan's seminal song book "101 Scottish Songs". This concert, compered by renowned Glasgow singer Arthur Johnstone, and including singers Iona Fyfe and Geordie Murison, will bring another 18 of the songs to the stage. First published in 1962, the TMSA were delighted when Collins and Norman Buchanís family agreed to the reprint in 2016 of the book affectionately known as "The Wee Red Book", in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the TMSA. It is a well-loved resource for singers of all ages, and copies of the book and DVDs of the first two concerts will be available to buy, so you can carry on singing when you go home!
